York St John Music Production students were back in our wonderful Creative Centre over the weekend of the 20th of May for another packed day of recording for the team at BBC Introducing for York and North Yorkshire.
Whereas the previous sessions were very much based on rock bands, heavily focused on guitar based recordings, this session gave the engineers a more diverse range of recording scenarios to test their knowledge and skills. Ranging from a solo artist to a 5 piece pop/folk band, these different recording setups all have their own challenges that the engineers need to overcome to get a recording that is of BBC broadcast quality.
