Valentines Day in Studio 2 began with a tour of the set up for our students with Paul Prithcard, Abbey Road engineer and good egg. Then we set up for The Leisure Society who did a new version of their Ivor Novello nominated song “The Last of the Melting Snow” to hushed quiet followed by massive applause up here in the control room! Penny Police flew in from Denmark for the session and poured a beautiful soul into Studio 2 before jetting off again the same day. And then finally Pat Dam Smyth gave a sumblime performance that inspired a control room singalong that worked so well we all ended up on the studio floor to track a gang vocal for the end of the song. Special times.
