The Bunker at YSJ

Students studying Music Production at York St John University have at their disposal a whole host of world class, industry stand equipment and facilities. The performance space is kitted out with everything a band could need to start recording their first hit. From amplifiers such as Orange Dual Terror tube amp and PPC 2 x 12 cab, or the Fender 68 Custom Vibrolux Reverb Guitar Amplifier, through to, for the bassists out there the Line 6 lowdown 4×10 bass cabinet. Your rhythm section is complete with the Pearl Vision drum kit complete with Zildjian K Custom Hybrid Cymbal Set. Add to this the classic Vintage Hammond organ, L100.

This combined with a huge selection of microphones from manufacturers such as Beyerdynamic, AKG, Shure and Audio Technica. Everything you need to get the perfect sound for your session.

 
As we move into the control room, you can be confident that the equipment here will provide you with the tools to tweak and tailor the sound to the professional level required today.
 
The heart of the room is the Audient ASP8024 Heritage Edition large format recording console, combined with an industry standard Mac Pro. Monitor wise you have the choice of monitors including the option to mix in 5:1 surround.
