York St John Music Production student John Ricketts has had a track of his featured on a compilation album in aid of the victims of the tragic earthquakes that struck Turkey and Syria in February.
Leeds-based label 3am Recordings put out the call to producers from far and wide to contribute music to the album, to which John happily responded. His track Accordance was snapped up immediately.
The album features a huge array of styles of electronic music. From trip-hop-inspired electronica, to deep dub techno, it's a real mixed bag with something for everyone. All funds from the album will go to the Disasters Emergency Commission fundraiser for the Turkey & Syria earthquake.
John, who is in his third year studying Music Production and Creative Business, commented "It was great to have a piece of music featured on an album that was such a worthwhile cause. It was a pleasure to have it on there, and be alongside an amazing and generous bunch of fellow producers."
