George Burns

[vc_single_image image=”4529″ img_size=”full”]

George Burns is a Live Sound Engineer and Music Producer. Music has always been a part of his life. He learned to play the piano from a young age, achieving Grade 5 in both practical performance and music theory. He continued to do music at school, and whilst studying at sixth form he taught himself to play the guitar, enjoying indie, alternative and 90s music before starting to write his own material.

At University the specific modules that stood out for him were Sound Engineering & Music Technology, Studio Recording & Computer-based Production, Location Recording and Advanced Mixing & Mastering. These modules enabled him to forge his career path in Live Sound Engineering, and develop the skills needed to become a Music Producer. While he was studying at YSJ he took advantage of opportunities to record live music at pubs and venues in the city which also built up his abilities.

Over the past year, George has written and recorded an alternative indie album called ‘Brightside’ under his own name.
